This is an example of how we create a logo.
This particular one involves 4 masks, 3 colors, 2 sizes of everything, a little luck and a fair amount of pagan rituals and cussing. Anytime we have to overlay more than 2 masks it gets dicey because of the materials we use. The stuff can literally be rubbed off with your finger, so one can imagine how laying a sticker over it 3 more times can turn out. Some people have nightmares about burning up, or drowning, or falling off of a cliff - we have nightmares about world championship stripes with a border and logos with 6 colors - that fade.
Anyway, this first mask creates the border (not outline - i'll explain later - look for "Outline vs. Border).

The next mask creates the inside or fill color. For this one we intentionally leave some areas un-colored to give some depth.

This is how it looks when all of the first phase of masks are removed.

Tomorrow we will finish the second set of masks and finish it up.
